COMMUNICATION
INTRODUCTION
This blog is created to inform readers about communication and its importance in the individual and society.
Its objective is that our readers know more about their definition, the models of communication that exist, and their importance in our environment since it is thanks to communication we can better understand each other, facilitating the teaching and learning process in the acquisition of a second language.
Communication is a Latin word that means "to share". It is the exchange of information between different individuals (Editorial team, 2014)
Communication is very important because it allows us to develop our personality, exchange ideas, enrich our culture and knowledge, acquire experiences, express our feelings.
There are different types of communication, but the most relevant are verbal and non-verbal communication, in this blog we will focus on talking about verbal communication.
Verbal communication is the sharing of information through speech. It includes the information that people hear on radios, televisions, telephones, speeches, and interviews (Editorial team, 2014)

Saussure´s model of the speech circuit
This model was created by Ferdinand of Saussure and published in 1915.
The speech circuit model originates when speakers use language to exchange information and communicate.
The elements of the voice circuit model are:
Shannon´s and Moles communication models
In 1949, the American engineer Shannon developed a simple and easily understood linear model that shows the basic process of communication. The input (the desired message sent by a sender through a channel) and the output (the message received) are those that can substantially change when a channel is affected by situations that worsen its transmission quality.
In 1949, the American engineer Shannon developed a simple and easily understood linear model that shows the basic process of communication.
The input(desired message, sent by a sender through a channel) and the output(the received message) are those that can remit substantially when a channel is affected by situations that worsen its transmission quality.
Later, in 1963, Moles added a crucial element to Shannon's model, namely the code.
The sender and receiver must have at least one fundamental set of codes in common so that they communicate successfully Asgari (2012).
Elements of the communication process:
Asgari (2012) sustained: “Here are the various components of the communication process in detail”.
- Input: The sender intends to communicate with another person.
- Sender: The sender encodes the message
- Channel: The message is sent through a channel. In acoustic communication, it is composed of air, in written communication on paper or other writing materials.
- Noise: The channel is subject to various sources of noise
- Receiver: The receiver decodes the incoming message or expression.
- Output: This is the content decoded by the receiver.
- Code: Sender and receiver codes must have at least a certain set in common for communication to work
Conclusion:
Communication is very important in society and in the individual because thanks to it we can transfer knowledge, express our feelings, in addition to facilitating our learning, learning models are theoretical schemes that have been created to facilitate our study and understanding process in our daily life.
